Bristol Beer Factory Beer Tasting
About
Bristol Beer Factory brew to unite people and communities over world-class beer. If you have a passion for pints with pals, join them for a BBF Tasting. As the fiercely independent innovators at the forefront of Bristol's vibrant brewing scene since 2004, BBF are proud of their beer and gladly welcome groups into their Tap Room and adjoining event space, Studio BBF, housed in the iconic North Street brewhouse.
Whether you prefer Bristol's alcohol free beer for good, Clear Head 0.5%, a classic Independence, or the O.G Milk Stout, a beer tasting is a great way to learn about the brewing process. During a Tasting, a BBF brewer will talk you through 6 BBF beers. You’ll journey from light to dark in colour for perfect pallet progression. The brewers will explain the style, ingredients, and brew process that make BBF beers so tasty. There will also be plenty of opportunity for you to ask any burning questions about your favourite beers.
Public Tastings are held year-round, usually every Tuesday evening, in Studio BBF (attached to the Tap Room on North St). Come alone or as a group - all welcome!
BBF Tap Room and Studio BBF are fully wheelchair accessible and have an accessible toilet.
What's included in the tasting
- 90-minute Tasting, led by a BBF expert
- 3 pints from the Tap Room (1/3 of 6 different beers during the Tasting, then a pint of your favourite to finish)
- Shop the Tap Room! Buy merch, cans, and brewery-fresh beers
Food & Drink
Visitors are welcome to stay for longer in the cosy Tap Room and adjoining Studio BBF. Watch live sport or order a spot of food, such as burgers, wingers and sangers courtesy of the Cord Kitchen pop-up. Veggie options are also on the menu. Alcohol-free, vegan and gluten free beers are available on draft, as well as BBF's own North Street Cider, plus coffee by Wogan and local soft drinks and spirits.
Private tasting events
A private tasting is the ideal option for big friend groups, clubs & societies, or corporate outings. Private tastings can usually be arranged on weeknights or Saturday daytimes, subject to availability. These must be booked in advance and a minimum group size and/or budget may apply. Get in touch via shop@bristolbeerfactory.co.uk to find out what the team can do for you.
All welcome
Tastings in Studio BBF are safer and more accessible than a typical brewery tour. The brewery itself is full of charm… as well as steep stairs and uneven surfaces – not a good combo for an event that involves drinking! A tasting will give you the same amount of beer and the same amount of brewing intel, just with none of the stairs.
Parking is free on the streets behind the brewery; Durnford Avenue and Durnford Street and surrounding. Parking on North Street and the streets on the opposite side to the brewery are mostly payable via meter.
Contact shop@bristolbeerfactory.co.uk in advance with any suitability queries.
Cancellations and rebooking
Attendees who can no longer make their booking should let Bristol Beer Factory know at least 24 hours in advance if they are unable to attend. Team BBF will be happy to help with rebooking for another date. Unfortunately, tickets cannot be rescheduled or refunded with less than 24 hours notice.
