About
Canford Park is a Victorian park with a children’s play park, football pitches, tennis courts and a bowling green. The play area caters for both young children and older children (8-12), with more adventurous and challenging play equipment.
The play area is surrounded by fencing and is a dog-free zone. Other facilities available in the park are a public toilet, lily pond and garden, café kiosk and outdoor seating. The park has good wheelchair and buggy access since the park is flat and there are many paths throughout. Access may be difficult around the lily pond and sunken rose garden.
The play area is within Canford Park which can be accessed by entrances on Canford Lane with bus stops nearby. The bus will take around 30 minutes from the city centre or a 15-20 minute car ride. There is no on-site parking, but parking is usually available on the streets nearby.
Canford Park is open at all times and is free to enter.
