Set on the banks of the North Teign River, Gidleigh Park is located in a magnificent 54-acre estate of mature woodland and gardens, and is surrounded by the wilds of Dartmoor National Park. Within the grounds of the hotel, there is a tennis court, croquet lawn, fishing, and an 18-hole putting course designed by Peter Alliss.

The recently refurbished Gidleigh Park is a Tudor-style country house, with 24 sumptuously appointed bedrooms, each of which are beautifully designed. The décor of the property reflects that of the era when the house was built, with many features from the Arts and Crafts movement.

The dining experience at Gidleigh Park is second to none, with the two Michelin-starred restaurant led by Executive Head Chef Michael Caines MBE, who is one of the UK's top chefs. The wine list is also considered one of the finest and most extensive in the country, with a cellar housing over 650 bins (about 7,000 bottles).

'Darmeet' has a large marble bath with its own steam room and sauna, 'Wallabrook' overlooks the valley and has its own roll top bath, and 'Cranbrook' has two roll tops bath, side by side, as well as its own sauna and feature fire.
