usa > Accommodation > The Greenway, Cheltenham
The Greenway in Cheltenham was the late Queen mother's favourite base for many years during Cheltenham Gold Cup race week. A fine example of a beautiful Elizabethan manor house nestling in the golden glow of the glorious Cotswold Hills, it is perhaps Cheltenham's finest country house hotel. It has retained its historic features and charming character and takes its name from the pre-Roman path running beside the building which dates from its construction in 1584. Set in gardens of national renown, The Greenway is an excellent base to explore the Cotswolds.
Furnished with fresh flowers and antique furniture, our hall, restaurant and public rooms offer our guests a combination
of sophisticated elegance and rural informality. Our twenty-one bedrooms are individually furnished to very high standards, many boasting high quality original antique furniture and all boasting stylish en-suite bathrooms.
