By Train

First Great Western Train travelling along the Devon coastIf you're travelling to the South West from London, you may like to consider taking the train, especially if you are combining your trip with a few days in London. Trains run frequently from London's Paddington, Euston, and Waterloo stations to destinations throughout South West England. Other UK destinations also serve the region well, so if you're staying elsewhere in the UK or simply flying into another UK airport, the rail network offers an excellent alternative to car hire.

When you're travelling around the region, why not take the train and see the region from the train. Many of the rail routes in South Pullman Dining Car, First Great WesternWest England are extremely scenic so it's worth considering at least some rail travel for getting around.
