Northleach

A few years ago the main road from Oxford to Gloucester ran through Northleach. Since then, the beautiful town has been bypassed so Northleach has returned to a time where things moved more slowly.

Northleach The magnificent church of St Peter and St Paul at Northleach can claim to be a "Cathedral of the Cotswolds". The church stands just off the market place and a wander around the town will reveal much of interest. Some timber-framed buildings survive, and a walk along the entire length of the High Street is recommended. And a walk over the hill will mean reaching the beautiful valley containing the River Leach, which is brilliant walking country and typically Cotswold
