Cornwall and Lands End

Day 1 - red route
Visit St Michael's Mount today, and then take the short drive into Penzance of Gilbert and Sullivan fame.
Day 2 - blue route
Visit historic Godolphin House this morning, and then take the short drive into lovely St Ives for the afternoon.
Day 3 - pink route
Head out to the most westerly point of England's mainland
today, Land's End. Then pay a visit to the Minack Theatre a working amphitheater with small museum explaining it's history. Perhaps book up to see a production one evening. Return to Marazion via the fishing village of Mousehole (pronounced Mouzle!) and Newlyn famous for it's artists.
Day 4 - green route
Head to Truro today. If you like gardens, you might also like to visit nearby Trelissick Gardens. Alternatively, the Eden Project is just 30 mins. beyond Truro.
Day 5 - orange route
Head to Falmouth today. Visit Pendennis Castle and take the boat trip across to St Mawes where there's also a castle to visit. There's plenty more gardens to visit close to Falmouth as well. Penjerrick is the closest.
You can do these day trips by car, but there's also excellent bus services which service many of the above places.
