The Two Bridges
Nestling beside the West Dart River in 60 acres of private grounds at the very heart of the Dartmoor National Park, The Two Bridges Hotel is reminiscent of a bygone age of opulence with the added extravagance of today's little luxuries. The Two Bridges was built in 1794 as a coaching inn at the opening of the trans-moor turnpike, back then the property was originally called 'The Saracen's Head'. It only gained its present name in the early 1900s with the modern road being completed in 1931.
The comfortable lounges, with huge log fires and leather armchairs provide the ideal place to relax with a scrumptious Devon Cream tea, or maybe a glass of local cider instead of a cup of tea with your scones, jam, and clotted cream! If you are there over lunchtime, you may
like to have lunch in the well appointed Tors Restaurant serving the very finest of West Country cuisine.
