Prehistoric Avebury and the Cotswolds

Malmesbury

Day 1- red route
Head to the Cotswolds today visiting Malmesbury, Tetbury, and Westonbirt Arboretum.

Head down to Bath today for a day exploring this historic Roman city, perhaps also enjoying a spot of retail therapy or spa therapy in the new Thermae Bath Spa where you can actually bathe in the natural spring waters.


Day 3 - pink route
Today, visit the pretty Cotswolds village of Lacock with its Abbey. Lacock Abbey was the film location for the first Harry Potter film. From Lacock, head west to the Avebury Stone Circle, and the attractive market town of Marlborough.


Day 4 - green route
Berkely CastleWhy not head to Bristol today to visit Brunel's ss Great Britain, John Wesley's Chapel, the harbour area, and Clifton village, or head up to Berkeley Castle and Thornbury Castle for lunch. It was once owned by King Henry VIII, and is now a luxury hotel.
