Lulworth Cove
Lulworth Cove is an amazing village and the area around it is some of the most outstanding in Britain, possibly the world. Lulworth Cove has recently been placed into the World Heritage Jurassic Coastline.
Lulworth Cove is a horseshoe shaped harbour within the grounds of the Lulworth Estate, home of the Weld family since 1641The region is a geologist's dream, featuring some of the finest geomorphology and folding strata in Europe. The area supports a remarkable array of diverse natural life, particularly butterflies. Lulworth even has its own butterfly species, the Lulworth Skipper, discovered near Durdle Door in 1832.
Lulworth Cove itself is a beautiful shell shaped cove, formed over millions of years, providing a great place to relax on the beaches, swim in the cove and also dive if you are daring to the many great spots in and out of the cove.
There are also numerous guided boat trips leaving from the cove showing the highlights of the area, including Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door and other great coastal views!
Take a walk around the cliffs and countryside, go swimming in Lulworth Cove, take a guided boat trip around the coastline, feed the ducks in the mill pond outside the Beach House Hotel with the little ones, take a tour around the grounds at Lulworth Castle or just relax and have a pick nick in one of the beautiful parks.
