Apprenticeships are a one of the best ways for employers to hire real talent graduating from education.

They are delivered at 3 levels:

  • Intermediate Apprenticeships (for general applicants)
  • Advanced level Apprenticeships (Supervisory level)
  • Higher level Apprenticeships (Degree level)

Apprentices work for an employer full time (min 30 hours per week) adding energy, enthusiasm and passion to the team whilst learning the ropes from you as an employer. They’ll continue to develop their knowledge and higher skill levels through day release or inhouse visits from an independent training or college partner.

You as the employer would pay the Apprentice wages for working in the business and almost all of the apprenticeship training fees are funded by Government. There are even grants available for the employer in some circumstances.

Apprentices stay with the business for at least a year (and up to 4) dependent on the level and framework) and national statistics show that staff retention is far higher for those that have been through an Apprenticeship programme.

Why choose an Apprenticeship for your business?

Benefits to business:

  • Reducing training and recruitment costs
  • Increasing productivity (on average by £214/week)* and your bottom line
  • Developing a skilled, motivated and qualified workforce
  • Improving customer service results
  • Providing financial return on investment

A shared apprenticeship is available for smaller tourism and hospitality businesses who due to their size are unable to offer 30 hours a week work or are unable to offer the range of work experiences required to meet all of the apprenticeship criteria. The added bonus of this for the apprentice is that they receive a wider ranging experience.
