Adrenaline-fuelled action sports & music festival NASS arrives this weekend, here are five things you should seek out if you're lucky enough to have a ticket...

NASS Festival

IBMXFF BMX World Championships

The world’s best BMX riders will be at NASS to battle it out for the $50,000 prize purse that goes to the winner of the World Championships. Hosted by the legend of the sport Mat Hoffman, the event will see riders showing off their jaw-dropping skills across the various BMX disciplines of park, vert, dirt and flatland.

Watch the child genius skateboarder from Japan

Sky Brown, from Japan, is sure to draw a crowd as she is only eight years old, but boasts all the skills of her adult peers. She is the youngest ever skater to compete at NASS and in the Vans pro competition and clearly skateboarding runs in the family – her five year-old brother Ocean has also taken up the sport.

The Mountain Bike Dirt War Series competition

It won’t just be the BMX riders who will be putting their bikes to the test; for the fourth year running the DMR Dirt Wars British FMB Dirt Jump Series will take over the jumps. With two thousand Euros going to the winner, expect to see these riders do amazing things you never thought a mountain bike was capable of, including double backflips and plenty of freestyle tricks.

NASS Festival

Method Man & Redman on the main stage

Legendary hip hop duo Method Man & Redman will bring a taste of the East Coast to the South West. After releasing their landmark debut album Blackout! in 1999 the pair built up a huge cult following and are sure to bring the house down when they play the main stage at NASS on Friday.

Pendulum headlining on Saturday night

Kicking off a very short UK tour, Pendulum will headline a superb line-up on the main stage on Saturday. The Australian drum ‘n’ bass and electronic rock outfit are top of a bill that includes drum ‘n’ bass DJ duo Sigma and festival favourites Gentleman’s Dub Club.
