Arty at heart

Graft

Sporty soul

  • Surprise dad with a gift ticket to Aerospace Bristol this Father's Day with free returns valid for a year! There's loads to discover, starting from the earliest days of powered flight, through to today’s cutting-edge aerospace technology. • Cars, boats, bikes, BBQ and beer? Is this the perfect Father’s Day recipe? The Italian AutoMoto Club will transform Brunel Square into a little Italy, with a fleet of Italian cars and motorcycles on 17 June, with BBQ available between 12pm - 3pm and The Incredible Brewing Company on hand serving craft beer. Dare dad to climb the rigging for an exhilirating view of Bristol or spoil him with a souvenir from the gift shop.

Go Aloft

  • For some family-friendly, vehicle lovin' madness, head over to Bristol Volksfest from 15-17 June. • Live the American dream this Father’s Day at the American Museum in Britain. Expect classic American cars, lip-smacking food from a Spitfire BBQ, and good old toe-tapping music throughout the day.
  • If dad enjoys a tipple or two, then you can’t go wrong with an exclusively crafted tumbler specially created by The Ivy Clifton Brasserie team and historic glass maker, Bristol Blue Glass. The classy tumblers were blown ‘freehand’ and are distinguished by the iconic ‘Bristol blue’ of the world-famous glassmaker. Branded with an Ivy leaf and Chivas Whisky emblem, the tumblers have been perfectly proportioned to make the ‘Bristol Blue Sour’ cocktail - a twist on the traditional Whisky Sour – taste extra delicious. The cocktail and glasses will both be available to purchase at The Ivy Clifton Brasserie from 4 to 30 June only.

Construction geek

  • There are quite a few dads in this world who love nothing more than discovering the intricacies of an astonishing feat of engineering. If yours is one of them, send him over to Clifton Suspension Bridge Tours where he’ll learn about the construction and discovery of the huge red brick abutments which support the bridge towers, before donning a hard hat and exploring two of the twelve vaulted chambers inside the Leigh Woods abutment.
