DoubleTree by Hilton Cadbury House is one of the region's finest hotels and spas, renowned for its rural location and luxury facilities. The original house, which forms the central part of the venue, dates back to 1790 where it served as a private residence set within 800 acres of woodland. Between 1839 and 1955 Cadbury House became a school known as St David’s. Later the house evolved into a luxury country club, providing a stunning back drop for hunting balls, medieval banquets and charity events.

In recent years Cadbury house has transformed into the awe-inspiring venue it is today. Purchased by Nick Taplin and Simon Matthews-Williams in 2003, the venue has benefitted from a £28 million makeover.

Owner Nick Taplin’s relationship with renowned superstar chef, Marco Pierre White has enabled the hotel to facilitate two onsite restaurants branded with Marcos name. The Steak House Grill and Bardolino’s, an Italian offering pizza and pastas.

The hotel now boasts 132 bedrooms, half which were updated in early 2018 including loft suites and deluxe rooms. The rooms pay homage to its local surroundings, with images on the walls of the Suspension Bridge, Clevedon Pier and Cheddar Gorge.
