Ever wanted to hear the howl or gibbons or the roar of lions as the sun sets? This summer you can, with Bristol Zoo's Friday Twilights.

8. Gaze at world-class collections of art, archaeology, geology and natural history at Bristol Museum and Art Gallery

The exhibits at Bristol Museum and Art Gallery tell the story of our world from the beginning of time to the present day.

9. Float in a sky full of colour with a hot air balloon flight at Bristol International Balloon Fiesta

The Bristol International Balloon Fiesta returns to Ashton Court Estate from 9-12th August 2018 to celebrate it's 40th anniversary.

10. Take a ride on a piece of Bristol’s industrial history with steam trains, cranes and boats at M Shed

M Shed regularly run rides and trips in their electric cranes and Fairbairn steam crane. Plus there's trips aboard Britain’s only dockside steam railway and on Bristol’s former fire boat Pyronaut.

25. Find solace from the plethora of shops and discover the world’s first Methodist building at The New Room, John Wesley’s Chapel

Tucked away in the middle of the bustling Broadmead shopping district, this small chapel is a fascinating oasis of tranquility in the centre of the city. They also sell some fab cakes in their cafe.
