Band of Burns at St George’s Bristol (24 January)

Band of Burns is a collaboration of twelve musicians from the top echelons of the folk scene, coming together to perform a show which celebrates the life, works and philosophies of Robert Burns. Featuring the mesmerising vocals of Ríoghnach Connolly (Afro Celt Sound System) and award-winning Scottish folk rabble-rousers The Langan Band, the show features new versions of classic Burns songs, original compositions and instrumental sets.

Islay meets Bristol - Burns Night Whisky Tasting at Hyde & Co – 24 January

Spirits will be high and the whisky flowing at speakeasy-style bar, Hyde & Co with a special tutored tasting of the Bruichladdich’s Port Charlotte whisky range. Showcased both neat and mixed into three specially-concocted cocktails, each spirit will then be paired with locally-produced nibbles, including cheese, charcuterie and chocolate.

The Three Tuns Burns Night Party – 24 January

Raise your whisky glass to Rabbie Burns while listening to bagpipes and munching Scottish Haggis, neeps and tatties at The Three Tuns (but make sure you pre-order to avoid disappointment). All tables inside are fully booked, but you can still summon your inner Scot and brave the elements by sitting outside.

Chivas Burns Night dinner at Milk Thistle (25 January)

Lads and lassies will be treated to a specially-created Chivas cocktail, a three course Scottish-inspired dinner (think Scottish scallops, sirloin of beef, haggis, neeps & tatties, Whisky gravy and the like) paired with a flight of Chivas whiskies PLUS a tutored Chivas tasting from The Milk Thistle's own Alex Godfrey, Chivas Master Finalist 2018. Held in the Milk Thistle’s private dining room - this decadent setting is the perfect place for Scottish knees-up in honour of Rabbie Burns.

Murder Mystery Night – Burns Night Special at Bristol Museum & Art Gallery (26-27 January)

Gather your sleuthing buddies together for a Murder Mystery Burns Night in the stunning Winterstoke and Wills Hall at Bristol Museum & Art Gallery. You’ll mingle with the murder mystery Guests over a wee dram of whisky and have a chance to quiz them, while a live bagpiper gets you in the Scottish spirit. There’ll be a traditional Piping in the haggis followed by a three course seasonal dinner as you attempt to unravel the mystery (with a prize for the winners!). Dance your tartan socks off to a DJ and disco until 1am.
