Located on Bristol’s harbourside, the M Shed is a brilliant museum which tells the story of the city of Bristol. Their event space is located on the top floor of the museum and has fantastic views over the harbourside. With the capacity for up to 220 theatre style and a wonderful roof terrace, it is perfect for a conference needing plenty of daylight and for summer evening receptions. They also offer the opportunity to hire out their studios which are ideal for workshops and team building days.

The Bristol Old Vic is England’s oldest working theatre and has just undergone extensive refurbishments making it a fantastic venue for events and conferences. Coopers’ Hall is a Grade I listed event space boasting beautiful big windows and chandelier, seating up to 120 guests for dinner. Experience the heritage of the theatre whilst you’re there by immersing yourself in an interactive heritage tour.

We the Curious, has versatile event space with a terrace that looks the harbourside on one side and Bristol Cathedral on the other. Ideal for events, conferences and exhibitions for up to 460 guest’s theatre style. If you are looking for somewhere to give a presentation with a difference, take a trip into their planetarium and experience your meeting in a whole new way!

Overlooking the harbour, Watershed not only has great, light and airy event space for up to 120 guests but also has three purpose-built cinemas with seating for up to 200. These cinemas offer a programme of independent films throughout the year but can also be hired for private screenings. For an informal feel, you can also reserve their café/bar area for groups starting from 10 people.    

Bristol Museum and Art Gallery

A night in the museum doesn’t just have to be something that you experience on TV. The Bristol Museum and Art Gallery can host drinks receptions for up to 400 guests along with dinners and conferences for up to 250 guests. The Wills Hall offers a beautiful backdrop for any event complete with sweeping staircases and chandeliers. You can even explore the exhibitions whilst you’re there!

Brunel’s SS Great Britain is set in her original dockyard having been restored to her former glory. Events and conferences can take place both on and off the ship. The Great Eastern Hall located only a stone’s throw away from the ship has great facilities for meetings and conferences for up to 250 guests. Enjoy the opportunity to then dine in the first class dining saloon with marble pillars and gold details.
