Following the success of this year’s inaugural show, the region’s event industry will ‘MEET’ in the South West once again on 31 January 2020 at the Mercure Bristol Grand Hotel. MEET South West is dedicated to the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) market – the only conference of its kind in the region.

Our region ticks every box on the list of today’s event planners: genuinely characterful but always immaculately professional venues; prices a fraction of what they are in London; and superb rail, road and air links (Bristol Airport serves 100 destinations).

Even the new trend for event “festivalisation” taps into our reputation for world-class festivals. With a wealth of creativity and an event ecosystem capable of supporting the most complex projects, the South West’s events sector is proving an increasing draw for progressive event planners regionally, nationally and internationally.

MEET South West brings the region’s events industry together under one roof, providing a unique opportunity to connect with the best venues and suppliers. From little-known boutique venues to agencies and suppliers capable of delivering the largest corporate events, the quality and diversity of our event industry will be showcased.

MEET South West co-founder Thomas Heiser said: “Over half of our 2019 delegates control an annual event budget of more than £250,000. They’re looking for inspiration and practical advice to make their events even more engaging and increase their return on investment. With 100% of our 2019 delegates reporting that they would recommend MEET South West to their colleagues, this has instantly become a must-attend exhibition and conference for event managers based in the region and those looking to bring their events to the South West.”

The first set of speakers for 2020 was recently announced and includes Kathryn Davis, Destination Bristol’s Head of Tourism and Interim CEO of Visit Bath; Lis Anderson, Director of PR consultancy Ambitious; Mike Piddock, Founder and CEO of audience engagement software Glisser, and Rob Eveleigh, Managing Director of professional conference organiser Brightelm.
