Start your New Year’s Eve by indulging in the fabulously festive four-course set menu at Bill’s on Queens Road, priced at £45 including a glass of prosecco. Dishes that might take your fancy are smoked chicken terrine with winter spiced chutney, a carrot, cashew nut and mushroom wellington, and the much-loved Bill’s chocolate and hazelnut praline sphere.

New Year's '99 at Bristol Harbour Hotel

Enter the new decade while dancing to the songs of those past at this event, where nineties and noughties hits will be played by a live band and DJ. Hosted in Bristol Harbour Hotel’s glam event space, there’ll also be an open bar, street food, casino tables, a photo booth and magician.

If a good New Year’s Eve to you is one where you’re never without a cocktail, head for The Milk Thistle. The speakeasy bar is keeping things simple and classy, offering stand-out cocktails and a buzzing atmosphere. Sample drinks from their upcoming ‘Meet Jacques’ menu as well as the creative concoctions already on their current ‘Meet George’ list. There are no tickets for this event – you just need to call and book a table as usual.

New Year’s Eve Tapas Feast at Pata Negra

Pata Negra has created a special New Year’s Eve menu made up of their delectable Spanish tapas dishes, from 36-month-old cured Jamón Ibérico de Bellota to chargrilled cauliflower, harissa, babaganoush and pomegranate. The four-course menu costs £45 and includes a glass of cava on arrival. Upstairs at Noche Negra you’ll find a livelier atmosphere, as a New Year’s Fiesta kicks off from 8pm.

Family New Year's Eve at Future Inn Bristol

For a family-friendly knees-up, Future Inn has you covered and with a fitting theme for the new decade too – ‘Roaring into the Twenties’. Alongside a traditional hog roast and all the trimmings there’ll be food for the kids, with music from resident DJs and top views over Bristol from the banquette room.

Party in aid of Avon Needs Trees at this woodland-themed do, where contributions on the night will go to the local charity dedicated to buying land to grow trees. A DJ will be playing in the downstairs gallery and if you really want to get behind the theme, fancy dress inspired by woodland is encouraged!
