After Hours: Sex (18+) at We The Curious

For a fun and fascinating alternative to your usual date nights, head to We The Curious and learn all about the science of sex. From a body scent booth uncovering how your sense of smell influences your choice in partner, to a look at bizarre mating rituals in the animal kingdom, explore two floors of exhibits with a Brozen cocktail in hand.

Add a little more romance to the evening by taking a seat in the Planetarium for Winter Stargazing 3D – a magical tour of the night sky.

Valentine's Date Night at Bristol Aquarium 

Meander through an oasis of colour, admiring over 40 naturally themed displays and thousands of marine creatures in a rare chance to explore the Bristol Aquarium when it's completely child free. There will also be extra talks and the opportunity to get hands-on with some artifacts. 

Valentine's Magic at Bristol Museum & Art Gallery

Be enchanted by an after-dark viewing of the Do you believe in Magic? exhibition, after being greeted with live acoustic music and a glass of fizz in the Winterstoke Hall. You can also book in for a romantic two-course sharing board dinner in the Wills Hall.

Catch a flick in a Grade II listed chapel

Arnos Vale Cemetery has two film screenings in the romantic setting of their Anglican Chapel. Settle in for a viewing of Tim Burton's typically macabre animation Corpse Bride or Baz Luhrman's adaptation of the timeless tale of star-crossed lovers, Romeo and Juliet

Solve a ‘whodunnit’

Perfect for those with their nose permanently buried in crime novels, play detective at one of two murder mysteries on Valentine’s Day. There’s a Valentine's Massacre Murder Mystery at Ashton Gate Stadium, set in London in 1929 – 1920s style fancy dress is optional. Listen out for clues and rumours dropped into conversation by professional actors throughout the three-course dinner. 

Step back to the Victorian era for Sudeley Castle’s Murder Mystery night. They will also be serving a three-course dinner, with traditional dishes from the period to indulge in as the drama unfolds. 

Experiences for two

Meet your fur-vourite animals

Become a keeper for the day, meet some mischievous meerkats, be a gorilla VIP or set up a date with another of the species in Bristol Zoo’s experience packages. They have plenty of experiences for two and you could even book in for a stay at The Lodge afterwards, the beautifully refurbished keeper’s house where you can spot exotic animals outside the window.
