One of the city's most historic sights is tucked away on the University of Bristol campus, and is a Civil War fortification dating from the 16th Century.

The sights around Bristol's historic harbour are also a popular choice for photos of the city, and there are a few local icons featured in this photo, including Bristol Ferry Boats and St Mary Redcliffe.

We're all about the Bs in Bristol: boats, bridges, Banksy, Brunel, and BALLOONS! The city is home to the annual Bristol International Balloon Fiesta and Cameron Balloons, the world's biggest producer of hot air balloons.

This great view of the city from Narroways in one of the lesser-known in Bristol, and the surrounding area of St Werburghs is well worth an explore for independent shops and restaurants, Boiling Wells, St Werburghs City Farm and a couple of popular local breweries.
13. Castle Bridge by pepress123
February 2020 saw the inaugural Bristol Light Festival, with light installations set up across the city. The illuminated Castle Bridge was one of the most photogenic locations on the trail.
