Plan, plan, plan

Booking ahead is more important than ever. We now need to book a table for something to eat or drink, book a time slot for entry to an attraction and book accommodation. You may wish to consider distance from your accommodation to wherever you book - and the availability at the attraction. Often there are more slots available at attractions in the afternoon than at opening time. What could you do first? It is always best to leave plenty of time to arrive. We never know what the traffic might be like or if there is a convenient parking spot. When you get to Bristol you might want to consider leaving your car at the hotel and enjoying your time on foot around the city. Bristol is very walkable and you'll save on car parking, get some exercise and almost guarantee the time it takes you to get anywhere. The Visit Bristol website brings together places to stay, things to do and where to eat and drink; use us as your personal assistant.

What’s open?

Many attractions have already reopened and are greeting visitors. Most attractions now require you to book an arrival time slot in advance of your visit. This has been the case for many busy attractions in London and elsewhere for a long time, but is new to many people. Booking a time slot enables the attraction to limit the number of people within the venue at one time. Most do not stipulate a maximum time that you can stay with them. Please check the individual listings for details, along with their social media feeds (often the quickest source of information) and their own websites.
