Location
All of these illuminations can be found around Cabot Circus, a modern shopping centre based in the heart of Bristol Shopping Quarter.
Cabot Circus is the perfect destination for Christmas shopping with everything from department stores to independent shops, indoor shopping malls and arcades to outside shopping streets and everything in between.
In Quakers Friars where you'll find this illumination, make sure you pop into nearby Harvey Nichols for a festive shopping experience. Treat yourself and book a festive makeover or skincare consultation this December and they’ll provide a complimentary glass of fizz. Warm up with a delicious meal or a glass of something at Klosterhaus, also located in Quakers Friars.
The ‘Let it snow’ lyric is from the song of the same name, famously sung by Frank Sinatra and then Dean Martin, among many others (including Boyz II Men with a somewhat dubious rendition!). It’s become a classic Christmas hit (not the Boyz II Men version) that’s synonymous with the season even though it features no festive references, other than snow. The song was used in the movie Die Hard which, on the other hand, is filled with festive references and definitely is a Christmas movie (don’t @ us) using American crooner Vaughn Monroe's original version.
The project is part of Bristol City Centre BID’s #LoveBristol campaign which promotes the recovery of the city, bringing together 100s of businesses to help create the festive trail. New to this year is the partnership with Redcliffe and Temple BID, adding many new and iconic locations to the attraction.
Bristol’s Cabot Circus offers the ultimate shopping experience, bringing together a host of high-street and designer brands and confirming the city’s status as the South West’s style capital.
