'Merry Christmas ya filthy animal!' at King William Ale House, King Street

As part of this year's Christmas Adventures light trail, 'Merry Christmas ya filthy animal!' is being projected at King William Ale House, King Street.

The 'King Billy' forms part of Bristol's 'Beermuda Triangle', a series of excellent craft beer bars which stock brews from a number of Bristol breweries as well as quality beers from across the UK and beyond.

A few doors down you'll find the historic Bristol Old Vic, the oldest continuously working theatre in the world and host to world-class theatre performances. This year’s Christmas offering is Robin Hood: Legend of the Forgotten Forest (until 1 January) which promises a fresh spin on this magical tale from the multi-award-winning company The Wardrobe Theatre Ensemble.

An iconic line from family favourite Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, the gangster film 'Angels With Even Filthier Souls', which the quote is taken from, is actually a fake. In a stroke of continuity genius, it is the sequel to 'Angels With Dirty Faces' which was used during the first Home Alone.

#MerryBristmas Fact 

Speaking of Home Alone, child star Macaulay Culkin once performed at Thekla. Yes, you read that right. In 2013, the actor who played loveable Kevin McAllister, made a surprise appearance during the encore of Adam Green's Bristol gig. The duo did a cover of The Beach Boys’ classic ‘Kokomo'.

The project is part of Bristol City Centre BID’s #LoveBristol campaign which promotes the recovery of the city, bringing together 100s of businesses to help create the festive trail. New to this year is the partnership with Redcliffe and Temple BID, adding many new and iconic locations to the attraction.
