Shopping in Bristol

Bristol has a wide range of shops and markets with both recognised high street names and great independent stores only to be found here.

Generally, shops are open from between 9am and 10am until 6pm but most of those in Cabot Circus and Quakers Friars are open until 8pm.  It’s always worth a quick check in advance though especially in the lead up to Christmas when stores open later.

There is a farmer’s market every Wednesday in Corn Street in central Bristol and an Arts market on Fridays which offer a great break opportunity.

In the city centre, Bristol Shopping Quarter is home to Cabot Circus, Quakers Friars, The Galleries and Broadmead, which together have over 500 stores. With two covered shopping centres, easy access and a lot of parking, Bristol's city centre is a hive of high street and big brand fashions with the odd independent thrown in for good measure.

Cabot Circus is a gigantic three-tiered shopping and leisure centre that provides city centre visitors with over 120 shops including 15 major flagship stores and signature stores, Harvey Nichols and House of Fraser.
