Ideally situated near Temple Meads railway station and close to the city centre, Paintworks Event Space offers a large, versatile, blank canvas space as a refreshing alternative to hotels and more traditional venues. It has a raw quality, owing to its great proportions and mixture of exposed steel, brick and stonework, making it an exciting venue for memorable, one-of-a-kind events. It's also flooded with natural light, providing a great day to night transition.
Paintworks Event Space is a creative space for creative thinking – it is the perfect location for award nights, product launches, presentations, conferences and workshops. The venue also offers a programme of interesting, major public events and it has played host to some of the biggest exhibitions in Bristol, including The Sunday Times 50th Anniversary Photography exhibition, See No Evil Gallery, Barry Cawston's Avonmouth to Amazon, Kathryn Thomas' Light Years, Carol Peace 2006 and 2008, Dreweatts Urban Art and Bristol Contemporary Open.
A separate Meeting Space is also available, which can be used along with the venue or hired on its own. Located opposite the Event Space, this lovely light unit has wooden floors, white walls, a sink unit, WC and lots of windows. Ideal for meetings, workshops and as a breakout room from the Event Space, it comes with furniture, free Wi-Fi, a screen and its own parking space. The room also works well for video presentations as all windows have black out blinds.
Paintworks Event Space is located at the heart of Bristol's creative quarter, the regeneration of 12 acres of industrial buildings along the banks of the River Avon. This sustainable development has recently been included in the Enterprise Zone and is the home of several leading media, advertising, design and architecture businesses in the South West.
