This week the Meet Bristol team have been representing the region at IMEX in Frankfurt.

The event offers pre-booked appointments with businesses from across the events industry and Emily and Amy, along with Dan from Bristol Airport, have been promoting the meetings, incentive, congress and exhibition offering for the Bristol and Bath region.

IMEX Frankfurt is one of the world’s most important events for the meetings and incentive industry, with more than 5,000 buyers attending over the three-day event.  Located on the VisitEngland stand and representing venues across Bristol, Bath and the West of England, we were also supported by Bristol Airport, promoting Bristol as the gateway to the region.

The team had a series of pre-booked appointments and their prime position ensured they benefitted from plenty of walk-up enquiries as well.  As well as the domestic German market, appointments have included buyers from across the world – and include many UK-based organisations.  These have included associations, corporate clients and agents.  As well as meetings, the team attended a VisitEngland networking breakfast with buyers from the USA.

The team have been delighted to be visited by international buyers who have attended educational trips to the area in the last few years, with many still impressed with the positive experiences they had in the cities.

As a bonus, the VisitEngland stand theme is film, so plenty of film locations and experiences to talk about, alongside Bristol’s status as a UNESCO City of Film.

There have been some exciting enquiries from buyers representing businesses from the region's sector strengths.

As well as convention business, following the launch of the Meet Bristol incentive travel wesite, the team have been presenting Bath and Bristol to incentive agents through the 'Two Cities, One Trip' programme.
