Workshop Working with the travel trade

Food and Drink Tourism

Tourism to Bristol is worth more than £1bn, of which more than £296m is spent by visitors on food and drink.  Therefore 29.5% of all visitor spend relates to food and drink.

Whilst some visitors will just arrive in the destination and then decide where to eat, working with the professional travel trade presents a fantastic opportunity and route to market to enable both groups and individuals the opportunity to make decisions and secure bookings, including payment, before arrival.

To help businesses on this journey, we are delighted to be able to present a specially designed workshop, funded by the Discover England Fund.

We are delighted to welcome Mike Newman, Managing Director of b2me Tourism Marketing to Bristol to deliver these workshops that will demystify the complexity of the travel trade, show how to work with international distribution for both groups and independent travellers (FIT).

A well-regarded industry expert with 20 years experience developing travel trade strategy and delivery, Mike will explain how to make the most of the travel industry, what to expect and how to benefit from Bristol's rising international reputation as a destination for food and drink.

This workshop is aimed primarily at food and drink businesses, including restaurants, producers, experiences and tours.  However, if you fall outside these business types but would like to come along please do get in touch.
