It’s just over a month until Something Good, an exciting new design festival, takes over Bristol. Held over two days (6-7 October), the event includes:

Day one: a day of exciting and inspiring creative talks from creatives working across various disciplines, followed by an after party

Day two: a full programme of creative workshops from the likes of Anthony Burrill, Miscellaneous Adventures, Wilfred Wood and Handsome Frank, taking place across the city.

In it’s inaugural year, Something Good is the first of it’s kind in Bristol and promises to focus on creativity and the magic of the creative process.

On Friday 6th October, the iconic building of St George’s plays host to a day of talks from a carefully curated team of top creatives. The line-up includes Snask, Anthony Burrill, Morag Myerscough, Trapped in Suburbia, Marta Veludo, Brendan Dawes, Wilfrid Wood and Gavin Strange. The day will be hosted by founder and editor-in-chief of Intern Magazine, Alec Dudson.

Throughout the day they’ll share stories and anecdotes of how they got to where they are today, how they tackle challenging creative briefs, where they find inspiration and how they keep themselves stimulated outside of commercial work. There’ll also be extra activities and installations on site, including live screen printing from People of Print, live demos from Joto and a special VR experience.

Saturday 7th October is a chance for people to get their hands dirty with a series of hands-on workshops hosted by leading creatives, in venues across the city.

Workshops include Letterpress with Anthony Burrill, Working with Wood with Miscellaneous Adventures, Tarot-card making with Sophy Hollington, Plasticine portraits with Wilfrid Wood, Portfolio reviews with Handsome Frank, Papercutting with Sam Pierpoint and Out There with Intern Magazine.

Tickets for the Friday and workshops are on sale now via the Something Good site: http://somethinggoodbristol.com/tickets

Something Good is being organised and curated by thread – a community interest company (CIC) that organises inspiring talks, workshops and get togethers for the creative community of Bristol and the South West.
