Grand Pier to make a killing with live entertainment

12th April 2019

Categories: Latest News

For some entertainers, appearing at Weston-super-Mare’s Grand Pier can be murder!

Murder Mystery on Grand Pier

That’s certainly the case for the talented team of Country House Murder Mysteries who hope to make a killing with three visits to the popular seafront attraction.

There are still limited tickets available for Murder on the Pier – Murder Ahoy on Friday 26 April.

The murder mystery evening is set aboard a luxury liner in 1952 in the company of Miss Mapletree and promises to be a ‘nautical but nice’ night of mystery and mayhem on the high-seas.

The evening will begin with the ticket-holding amateur sleuths being able to mingle with the suspects before sitting down to a three-course-meal.

They will find themselves collecting clues throughout the evening in a bid to piece together the mystery and figure out ‘whodunnit’.

Tickets for the night, which starts at 7pm, cost £34.50 and fancy dress is encouraged.

If you can’t make it this month, don’t worry because there will be two other opportunities this year to put your detective skills to the test.

On Friday 12 July the Country House team returns for Murder on the Pier – Something Borrowed, Someone Blue – which will see a wedding day death, and on Friday 8 November the Murder on the Pier theme is Murder at the School Reunion.

All three events are for the over-18s only.

Customer (and amateur crime-fighter) Kelsey Dehaney said: “I have been to three or four of the murder mystery events on the Grand Pier and I have thoroughly enjoyed every one of them.

“Miss Mapletree is hilarious, the characters are brilliant, the story lines are fun and the food is delicious.

“There is a great atmosphere on the night and I would certainly encourage everyone to go to one of these fantastic events.”

Hollie Otley, Event Manager at the Grand Pier, said: “The murder mystery evenings are always popular, offering the ultimate in audience participation where people don’t just come to watch a show but get fully involved and, hopefully, solve the crimes!”
