This Halloween bring the whole family along to RWA and experience the galleries by torchlight, with Halloween-themed children's art workshops, drinks, nibbles, prizes and more!

Explore the exhibition by torchlight

Explore the 167 Annual Open Exhibition - only in the dark! Take part in a Halloween exhibition trail. Hunt down the creepy crawlies and spooky creatures lurking in our galleries...

Take part in spooky art activities

🎃 Follow our secret recipe to create your own oozy, drippy slime.

👻 Make your very own 'magic picture'. Draw on white paper with a white wax candle and what do you see? Nothing! But colour over the top with our magic solution and all will be revealed...

💀 Raid the witch's spell cupboard for feathers, fir cones, bones, skulls and other spooky objects. Then, get busy drawing your finds. Use your feather as a quill, or roll a fir cone in ink and see what texture it creates. Perhaps you have a mini DaVinci on your hands who'd rather draft an anatomically accurate skull. Anything goes!

🎨 Pick up a self-led drawing activity and have your artwork published in an online gallery on The Big Draw website.

    Prizes

Children and families are encouraged to dress up and there will be a prize for the best children's costume.

    Family ticket (up to 2 adults + 2 children) £8 | Additional children £5 (under 1's free).

Children must be accompanied by an adult, suitable for children aged 4-12. Please remember there will be will be low lighting and some spooky faces! If you have a torch, please bring one as numbers may be limited.
