Step inside Bristol Museum & Art Gallery for your very own “Night at the Museum” to enjoy a truly special movie screening! Enter this magnificent space after hours, enjoy live performers and then take your seat in the Rear Hall to watch the film among the exhibits. 

To get you in the Christmas spirit we’re bringing two beloved festive classics to the Museum this December, starting with Will Ferrell’s infectiously cheery outing as Buddy in Elf!

About The Film

Buddy has always struggled to fit in with the other elves at Santa’s Workshop, mainly due to his height. When he learns the truth, that he is a human, he leaves the North Pole in search of his real family  – but can he prevent his biological father from ending up on Santa’s naughty list…?

• Bristol Museum located on Queens Road just off Park Street, around a ten minute walk from the city centre.

• The museum is around two miles from the M32 on Queen’s Rd (BS8 1RL). You can park in any of the city car parks but the closest two are West End (BS8 1EH) and Trenchard Street (BS1 5AN), both about a five minute walk away.

• Bus numbers 1, 2, 4, 8, 9 and 72 all travel past the museum up Park Street and from the Clifton Triangle.

• Wherever possible, we encourage walking or using public transport to travel to our events.

• Bristol Museum has level access and a wheelchair accessible toilet. You can find full information on Bristol Museum’s website here or on the AccessAble website.

Please let us know if you require reserved seating or a wheelchair space in advance of the event.

• Due to the nature of this event, you may be required to queue for a short time before entry. Please let us know if you have concerns about this and we will be happy to advise and assist.

• If you are attending an event as a carer for a disabled guest, then you are entitled to free access. Please select the relevant ticket and bring appropriate proof of eligibility such as proof of blue badge, access card, cinema for all card, letter from a professional or evidence of DLA/PIP. If you are uncertain, please contact us.

• Subtitles: please contact us if you require a film to be screened with subtitles. Many of our screenings can accommodate subtitles, however this varies depending on the film.

• We cannot guarantee access before the stated doors time on your ticket, so advise you arrive as close to this time as possible.

• Food and drink can only be consumed at the screening if it is bought at the venue.
