WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS in Redcliffe Caves

  • Redcliffe Caves Phoenix Wharf, Redcliffe Way England, BS1 6SR United Kingdom (map)
So many comedies are adoringly billed as “dark”, forgetting the ancient showbusiness maxim, “dark is easy; funny is hard”. Fortunately, this mockumentary from New Zealand succeeds in being both: in fact, it’s the best comedy of the year
— Peter Bradshaw (The Guardian)

DOORS: 20:00 | FILM STARTS 20:15

It’s back… Venture deep into Redcliffe Caves – if you’re brave enough – for the latest instalment of our infamous Horror In The Caves series. Enter through our military tent on Redcliffe Wharf, grab a drink from our pop-up bar to steel your nerves, and step foot inside one of Bristol’s most unusual and exclusive locations for another season of classic and contemporary horror movies.

If you fancy something a little on the lighter side, then What We Do In The Shadows is the film for you – this hilarious Taika Waititi-helmed mockumentary explores the funnier side of vampires with bloody aplomb.

For the first time this year, we are offering a limited number of spaces on 10-15 minute pre-screening tours of Redcliffe Caves; collect a torch then venture far deeper than our ’Screening Cave’ and learn more about the history of this fascinating Bristol landmark. PLEASE NOTE: due to the nature of the space, all guests on a pre-screening tour must be able to exit the Caves unaided in the event of an emergency. Further details will be emailed to you shortly after booking.
