FARRINGTON'S PUMPKIN PICKING FESTIVAL 2023
Pick-your-own Pumpkin Patch near Bristol, Bath and Wells in Somerset
Our FAVOURITE event of the year! It's time to dust off your wellies for the annual Pumpkin Picking Festival at Farrington's Farm, the biggest pumpkin patch near Bristol and Bath surrounded by beautiful countryside.
Our mission is to give you a proper pumpkin picking experience as it should be, with all the pumpkins in the patch grown right here on our farm.
We grow a huge variety including your classic orange ‘Cinderella’ pumpkins, white ‘ghost’ pumpkins, knobbly ‘knucklehead’ pumpkins, tasty crown prince and lots more. Grab a wheelbarrow and explore!
TIME SLOTS
You are required to choose a time slot when booking, this is your ARRIVAL time to the Pumpkin Patch. If you are booking the last slot of the day, we recommend arriving to the Pumpkin Patch at the beginning of your slot as it closes half an hour after the last time slot, i.e. if the last time slot of the day is 3pm-4pm, the Pumpkin Patch will close at 4.30pm.
You are more than welcome to arrive earlier than your time slot to make the most of the rest of Farrington's before you head to the Pumpkin Patch to pick your pumpkins!
TICKETS
Your ticket includes entrance to the Pumpkin Patch, displays, entrance to the carving space and parking.
You must purchase a ticket in advance to attend this event. Everyone needs a ticket except under 2s, on-duty carers and dogs! Your ticket does not include a pumpkin. You can purchase as many pumpkins as you like on the day. Please ensure you book the right date/time, as we cannot offer refunds or transfers. We recommend reading the Terms & Conditions and FAQs before booking.

Whinny the Witch of Farrington Gurney will be in the Witches Wood. Toast some marshmallows in her cauldron but be careful she doesn't cast a spell on you...

Our big carving marquee will be open for business so you can carve your pumpkins with spooky faces and leave the mess behind!

In proper farm style, Farmer Andy has built the ever-popular Straw Pool which is open for kids to play and jump around in

The Playbarn will be open as normal for playtime! No need to book but bear in mind there may be a time limit should the Playbarn be busy

Our Farm Shop, Butchery & Deli is stocked with lovely products from Farrington's Farm Kitchen and other local suppliers, plus our homegrown organic veggies! Pop in to pick up some special foodie bits.
The Shopping Village hosts a variety of other independent businesses you can visit including beauty and hair salons, book shop and gift shop.
FOOD & DRINK
An important part of your day aside from all the pumpkins! There will be plenty of food & drink choices available so you can stay fuelled while at the farm...

For table service, then we welcome you to take a seat in our cosy Café. We have a delicious autumnal menu on offer, making use of seasonal farm produce and local ingredients. Try our popular pumpkin soup or sip on a warming pumpkin-spiced latte. Breakfast is served from 9am - 11.30am, Lunch 12pm - 3.30pm. Coffee and cakes, all day long!

The Fish & Chip Shop will be open daily serving our Thatcher's-battered fish and homegrown triple-cooked chips

When you venture into the Playbarn, the Playbarn Café will be serving light meals and snacks plus hot and cold drinks

The Garden will have a variety of catering options, serving a great range of snacks, cakes, meals and drinks with plenty of undercover seating to rest weary legs (closing at 3.30pm daily on peak days)

The Farm Shop & Deli will be open every day. Our deli has an array of homemade grab-and-go delights, like our famous scotch eggs, flavoured sausage rolls and deep filled pork pies. If you have a sweet tooth, our homemade Malteser Square traybake is a firm favourite!
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Some useful things to note ahead of your visit to Farrington's Farm:

The Pumpkin Patch is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs generally, while we do put pedestrian trackway, the event is held in a field which can be difficult to navigate wheelchairs and pushchairs.

Wheelbarrows are available for you to borrow on the day (subject to availability)

Our pumpkins are not sprayed for weeds so there aren't just pumpkin plants in the field! This is normal, but please wear long trousers, long-sleeved tops and wellies to protect yourselves. Please do not pick anything that isn't a pumpkin and supervise children at all times.

We welcome well-behaved dogs on leads in the Pumpkin Patch. Please make sure you pick up after them and put waste in the bins provided

This is an all-weather event (although it can get quite muddy after rain!). Please dress appropriately for the weather on the day

Smoking is not permitted in the Pumpkin Patch
