About
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the cafe is temporarily closed. Please check directly on their website and/or social media channels for the latest updates.
No run-of-the-mill food or drink for the brand new Café at the New Room and no pre-frozen goods either, just lots of freshly prepared, appetising, home-baked goodies, that are ethically and locally-sourced.
Delicious Fairtrade coffee and tea, tasty brunches, a daily specials board for light lunches, afternoon tea with exceptionally tempting bakes… all served in a café setting unique in Bristol. It occupies a light airy space under a large glazed roof that could fool you into thinking you’re dining alfresco (except that it’s warm, and there’s no wind…). Relaxed atmosphere, staffed by a super-friendly team.
The 50-seater venue caters for vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free diets, with most products home-baked apart from the gluten-free range and bread which comes from Hobbs House Bakery.
Some recipes are unique to the Café at the New Room, including a light-textured baked Polish cheesecake, lemon-and-Earl Grey scones, and ‘Fit’ cake (a traditional Polish blueberry, yoghourt and custard cake with a brioche-like texture). Different options available every day.
