The Cowshed brings the taste of the countryside to the city. For The Cowshed, the most important thing is knowing where and how their food is produced. They focus on the quality of the farming or production methods and the ethics and integrity of the grocer, breeder or supplier.
About the Cowshed
The Cowshed came about because there seemed to be a gap in the Bristol market for a restaurant that served good, simple, British food, in a relaxed environment, particularly one that put an emphasis on quality local produce.
It’s something the owner Adam Denton has always been passionate about and after much research, location hunting and a complete new refurb, The Cowshed was born.
The Cowshed considers itself to be a work in progress and they are forever changing and improving their offering depending on the demand. As you'd expect, it's their steaks that are a speciality - you pick your favourite cut, sauce and sides and make your own meal. Their Steak on Stone allows you to cook your own steak, just how you like it, on your very own hot stone plate. It’s a must try!
But it's not just about the meat. A great selection of scrumptious a la carte meat, fish and vegetarian dishes and a mouth-watering range of desserts make The Cowshed an all-round excellent night out for all.
