About
Voi e-scooters are a contemporary, cool and carbon neutral way to explore Bristol. Covering nearly all of the city, they’re easy to find, quick to use with Voi’s app and lots of fun. Voi loves visitors to try their scooters, so riders who are new to Voi can benefit from a special offer of a free 10 mins ride. Just insert the code: VISIT_BRISTOL at the point of purchase on the app.
Look out for Voi’s coral red e-scooters scattered around the city at parking stands, painted bays or in designated Parking Zones . For example, you can pick one up at Bristol Parkway or Temple Meads stations on arrival, which are just two of hundreds of Voi Parking Zones in the city, all clearly marked on Voi’s app, so you are spoilt for choice.
Just follow the following instructions:
- Download the Voi app onto your iPhone or Android device to start travelling around the city on two wheels
- Riders need to have a provisional or full driving licence and be at least 18 years of age to hire an e-scooter. This will be verified within minutes of submitting a photo of it via the app.
- Find an available Voi e-scooter and unlock it using your Voi app.
- Riders are always encouraged to wear helmets.
- It’s optional, but you can learn how to ride safely in just 15 mins by enrolling in 'RideLikeVoila', Voi's online e-scooter traffic school. You will win £5 of free rides when you have completed it.
- New riders can get a free 10 mins ride. Just insert the code: VISIT_BRISTOL at point of purchase, depending on which city you are visiting.
- If you are new to e-scooters, you can also switch to Beginner's mode on the app, reducing the speed to 10mph so you can find your feet. The normal maximum speed is 12.5mph.
- Voi operates a Mandatory Parking Zone system in Bristol which means that you need to park the e-scooter in a specific parking area to complete your ride. These are all easy to find on Voi's app.
- Before you complete your Voi ride, you need to take a Parking Photo of your scooter and submit it to Voi, who will then quickly allow you to complete your ride. This is to ensure that Bristol's Voi riders park responsibly and keep our city tidy and safe for all our visitors and residents.
