About
Eastville Park is a Victorian city park with a fishing lake, lots of green space and children’s playgrounds. The park is also a popular site for community events. There is a dog-free (upper) playground for under 15 year including a basketball hoop, sand pit, cabin slide, rockers, swings and a climbing frame with slide.
The (lower) play area has toddler and flat seat swings as well as a multi-play unit and the green area is a nice place for a picnic. The fishing lake has some ducks and swans which can be fun for children too. The park is accessible by wheelchair though the paths and landscape can be slightly uneven. There are toilets available, but only non-disabled access.
The lower playground is located by the fishing lake and is accessible by foot only. Access to the upper playground can be gained from Park Avenue where there is a public car park, opened from 7.30 am until dusk. A bus ride from the city centre will take about 30 minutes and a ride by car approximately 10 minutes.
Eastville Park is open at all times and is free to enter.
