Greenman Tours - Stonehenge


Greenman Tours provide a range of regular guided tours from Bristol to Stonehenge with Salisbury and Stonehenge with Lacock and Avebury. This year they are running a new tour from Bristol to Wells with the historic Somerset Harbour Town of Watchet.

Visit these scenic and historical places from Bristol, in a quality executive coach, and enjoy the detailed light hearted tour presented by your professional tour guide.


See Stonehenge, the enigmatic, mysterious, prehistoric monument constructed thousands of years ago, and explore the new visitor and exhibition centre. A multilingual audio guide will be supplied during tours of Stonehenge. Your visit to Stonehenge will be as part of one of the following tours.

Stonehenge and Salisbury Cathedral with the Magna Carta

This full day tour includes a guided tour of Salisbury Cathedral, and a guided walk around the medieval part of Salisbury. Salisbury Cathedral has the tallest spire in Britain and is set in the largest medieval close. This tour is fully inclusive of entry to Stonehenge and Salisbury cathedral.

Lacock, Avebury and Stonehenge

This full day tour visits the historic village of Lacock which has been used for TV and films including Harry Potter. You may choose to visit the beautiful Lacock Abbey and grounds. Then go on to Avebury where you can walk amongst the prehistoric stones, later on you visit Stonehenge. This tour is fully inclusive of entry to Stonehenge.

Wells and Watchet

This full day tour goes to the beautiful city of Wells, the smallest city in Britain. It includes a guided tour around the famous Cathedral and a guided tour of the medieval city. You then go on to visit the historic Somerset harbour town of Watchet the inspiration for Coleridge's poem The Ancient Mariner.

Lacock, Avebury and Bath Afternoon and Evening Tour

In the summer months they are offering a tour to Lacock Avebury and Bath. They leave Bristol at 2:00pm and head for Lacock. The tour includes a guided walk around Lacock, Avebury in the afternoon and an early evening walk around Bath, with free time to visit the torch lit Roman Baths, the Thermae Spa, parks, and restaurants. Return to Bristol by 10:00 pm.
