Join Michelin-starred Bristol chef, Josh Eggleton, for an intimate Bristol food tour and tasting. This is a chance to taste your way from North Street to Wapping Wharf, discovering more about Bristol’s unique food scene and enjoying specially made dishes with Josh Eggleton, owner of the award-winning Pony & Trap.
Josh will take you on a journey from the Bristol Beer Factory on North Street to Wapping Wharf, taking in some of his favourite local spots along the way including Mark’s Bread, Rare Butchers, Spike Island Cafe and the Bristol Cheesemonger. You’ll finish up at Josh’s own restaurants, Root and Salt & Malt, to sit down and taste some specially prepared dishes.
Have a tour of the taproom at Bristol Beer Factory, see behind the scenes at Rare Butchers, and taste some of the delights of Mark’s Bread whilst talking to their head baker. At Root, you’ll meet head chef Rob, who’ll reveal more about the restaurant’s unique flavours and prepare some small plates for you to enjoy alongside one of their organic wines. It’s then on to Salt & Malt to enjoy some English sparkling wine with small plates of fish and seafood, including oysters personally prepared for you by Josh. To finish, you’ll enjoy a cheese tasting at the Bristol Cheesemonger, sampling some of the region's best cheeses and discovering more about their flavours and provenance.
