Keen filmmakers, writers, directors, producers and future stars of screen are invited to take part in Bristol's first 48 Hour Film Challenge this May. Teams from schools and extra-curricular clubs will be given the challenge of making an original film from start to finish in just 48 hours!
Workshops from teachers and industry professionals will be held for staff and students in the weeks leading up to the weekend to help participants brush up on their skills. There will also be an exciting panel of judges from within the industry, including Cathy Johnson, screenwriter of Mama Mia, and Col Needham, the founder and CEO of IMDb, the most famous online database for films, TV shows, video games, and streaming content.
An entry fee of £5 per team will go to Babassa, an award-winning youth empowerment social enterprise based in St Pauls, Bristol's inner city.
