About
Bristol Food Connections festival is a citywide celebration of food of epic proportions.
Residents and visitors alike will be taken on a journey of exploration and discovery of all that is GREAT about food in Bristol (and beyond) through a cornucopia of events that are sure to tantalise and tempt, educate and enlighten.
This year the Food Connections Festival Hub will be hosted in the magnificent Colston Hall, with talks, cookery demos and markets, plus the usual programme of feasts, tours, debates, workshops and parties across the city.
With over 100 events in all corners of Bristol, it’s a spectacular showcase of Bristol’s diversity and creativity, uniting the city through one common factor…food!
It’s a week when food takes over the city, and they shine a light on all the great people, businesses and organisations that make Bristol’s food culture so uniquely independent and creative – celebrating every aspect of the journey of food – from field to fork.
Food Connections first took place in 2014 and ran in both subsequent years. The BBC Food and Farming Awards have been proudly hosted in Bristol since 2013, and from 2014-16 were the launch event of Bristol Food Connections, attracting UK-wide coverage on TV, radio and online and some of the biggest names in the UK food world to the city.
