All Saints Church welcomes you to an exceptional exhibition of contemporary stained glass, celebrating one hundred years of the British Society of Master Glass Painters.
A national tour, visiting a number of selected venues, the exhibition showcases a striking display of stained glass by some sixty artists from the UK and around the world. It explores a variety of subjects and themes that have affected, influenced, and inspired a range of contemporary glass artists, from the environment to the COVID-19 pandemic and the beauty of nature.
The collection offers a unique insight into the fascinating history of stained glass, an art-form that has been practised in Britain for at least thirteen hundred years. The individual panels have been created by members of the Society, using a variety of traditional and innovative modern glass techniques and are displayed at eye-level, enabling visitors to have a rare close-encounter with the art of stained glass that bathes the church in vibrant light and colour.
All Saints Church will also be running a series of events alongside the exhibition. These are all held within the church, free to attend and everyone is welcome. For details of the music concert, two guest speaker talks and children's workshop please go to www.allsaintsclifton.org
