Fire & Iron Festival: Easter at Brunel's SS Great Britain

About
Spark your imagination this Easter with the sights, sounds and smells of a working forge in a living Victorian Dockyard.
Meet blacksmiths Kingdom Forge, on hand every day demonstrating traditional Victorian metalworking. Watch as they forge the same rivets and chains that would have been used to construct the SS Great Britain.
The young Suffolk-based pair will be providing demonstrations of impressive Victorian crafting skills, employed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel - the namesake of Kingdom Forge. Come along and get the lowdown on blacksmithing, with a chance to chat to the blacksmiths.
Come face to face with characters from the Victorian age as you step back in time and wander through the bustling dockyard where Bristol's iconic steamship, the SS Great Britain, was built. The docks will be alive with action to recreate the construction of the ship. There will be activities to enjoy around the dockyard, including coal shovelling and riveting.
