The Museum at Night: Grayson's Art Club at Bristol Museum & Art Gallery
Tel: +44 (0)117 922 3571
Inspired by the phenomenal Grayson's Art Club exhibition at Bristol Museum & Art Gallery, this Museum at Night will be a chance to explore the museum after hours, take part in arty activities, catch or be a part of The People's Catwalk, and enjoy a drink in a beautiful setting.
Come dressed in your glam rags, stimulate the senses again and join local artists for an unmissable, interactive evening of fun.
Performer, drag artist and founder of the magnificent 'House of Savalon', Astro Zenica and friends will be entertaining and hosting the people's catwalk. Their performances are playful, absurd, heartfelt and hilarious. Expect spoken word poetry, live singing, games and heaps of chaos as they take audiences on a journey filled with lots of love and lots of giggles. Musical artist, rhyme lacer, spoken-word poet, beatmaker and lover of all things creative; iAM13e (I AM BE), will be performing as well.
Makeup and award-winning body artist Panda, owner of Painted Peach, will be on hand adding flashes of colour, sparkle and makeup designs to as many faces as possible. Bring your fabulous friends along and strut your stuff on the catwalk or just enjoy capturing priceless moments in front of the colourful selfie backdrops created by UWE Arts students.
As if that wasn't enough, across the museum there will be opportunities to make your own creations from drawing to producing your own accessories to wear on the night. There will even be a collective sculpture that evolves over the course of the evening.
The professional creatives on hand to inspire you include Cai Burton, Claudia Collins, Carlo Hornilla, Creative Shift, iAM13, Lou Baker and Oly Bliss, and Nature Makes.
Producer and DJ, Bear Twists will be joining to provide the sounds.
Tickets include entry to the Grayson's Art Club exhibition.
