The Totterdown Arts Trail is Bristol’s longest running arts trail, having run for over 20 years. It was first founded in 2001 and has been going strong ever since.
For one weekend in November - Artists, Makers and Creatives open up their homes in Totterdown to showcase their artwork and creativity. You can expect everything from pop-up exhibitions, to mulled wine and cider, to creative activities for the family.
The trail took a year off in 2020 due to Coronavirus, but this year is back with a fresh team behind it.
Bristol artist and illustrator Cai Burton is organising the trail this year alongside a team of local residents. Cai grew up in the community and has fond memories of attending the trail in his youth, as well as exhibiting as an artist in recent years.
The artistic community has taken a big hit during the pandemic, yet for so many being creative was even more valuable and it inspired so many people to pick up their pens and paintbrushes!
This year the trail will be ‘lighting up the streets’ and igniting the wonderful community to come together, create, inspire, connect and explore through local events, workshops and outdoor activities.
Locals are invited to open their homes and businesses for the weekend, subject to covid restrictions, and encouraging local residents to decorate their windows and front gardens.
Sign up is open until 18 Octover 2021
