Bristol Spas & Wellbeing

Everyone deserves to be pampered every now and then, and we’ve got a fine selection of places to help you relax and improve your wellbeing.

Day Spas and Spa Hotels

Bristol has a range of spa options, including luxurious holistic treatments at Bristol HarSPA in Harbour Hotel Bristol, tailor-made massages and outdoor swimming at The Lido and an award-winning selection of beauty treatments at Aztec Hotel & Spa.

Further afield you'll find a stunning spa and indoor-outdoor pool at The Newt in Somerset (named as one of the top 50 hotels in the world) and an award-winning spa with relaxation room, swimming pool and outdoor hot tub at Doubletree by Hilton Cadbury House.

The Spa at Bowood Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort has an infinity pool with countryside views as well as a rock sauna, crystal steam room and jacuzzi. Or perhaps you’d prefer to book  Spa Treatments at The PIG near Bath in one of their rustic, secluded Potting Sheds at the bottom of their beautiful garden.

Treatments and Therapies

Bristol also has a range of salons and therapists, including specialised treatments and a beauty bar at Pure Spa and Beauty. Visit Bristol Float Centre on Park Street for tranquillity and calm in their relaxing floatation tanks.

Check out the selection below either for you or a loved one, with treatments for all budgets. Most also sell vouchers for treatments - a real way to earn brownie points!

Outdoor wellbeing

Bristol is blessed with over 400 parks and green spaces to explore the outdoors and reconnect with nature and ourselves. We’re also lucky to have the Floating Harbour in the centre of the city, where you can take part in stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking or rowing.

Try surfing, bodyboarding or cold water swimming at The Wave, or head to the nearby coastal Somerset towns of Portishead, Clevedon and Weston-super-Mare where you can enjoy the wellbeing benefits of taking a dip in open air lidos and marine lakes.

Walking

Whether you want to explore Bristol’s 45 bridges, discover the famous street art, go on a walking tour or venture into the countryside, there are so many ways you can enjoy walking in and around the city. See our walking page for more inspiration, or visit Bristol during our very own annual Bristol Walkfest which takes place to coincide with National Walking Month every May.

Nurturing food

Did you know Bristol was named Vegan Capital of the world by a survey in 2019? There are several restaurants in Bristol which celebrate vegetarian and vegan food and its health and wellness benefits. See our list of vegetarian and vegan restaurants to go and get your greens!
