About
Discover a world of animal adventures – right on your doorstep! Bristol Zoo Project, previously known as Wild Place Project is the perfect family day out, with over 50 acres of outdoor space to explore.
Spot animals from all over the globe, including many endangered species. Say ‘hello’ to giraffes, zebras, gelada ‘baboons’, cheetahs, meerkats and ring-tailed lemurs, among many others.
Kids can run wild in the play areas, including the Fun Fort, Congo Bongo and Barefoot Trail. And if you’re feeling really adventurous, there’s Leap of Faith – the thrilling outdoor climbing experience for adults and children.
Rumbling tum? Food options range from light bites to delicious pizzas.Base Camp Pizzeria is open daily, with pizzas prepared by onsite chefs and freshly baked in stone-based ovens (vegan and gluten-free options available). Check the welcome board on arrival for cafe and pizzeria opening times on the day of your visit. The Pizzeria is located just behind the cheetah enclosure, so you can spot cheetahs while tucking in.
Bristol Zoo Project was recently named South West Tourism Excellence Awards’ ‘Large Visitor Attraction of the Year 2020/21’ and Bristol, Bath and Somerset Tourism Awards’ ‘Visitor Attraction of the Year 2020/2021.'
