Bristol Sightseeing & Tours
You ask any local living in Bristol and they will all say the same; Bristol is a buzzing city in the countryside. It has a number of distinct areas (mini-cities) that make up the city of Bristol. Each have their own charm and are waiting to be explored. Whether you explore Bristol on foot, by bike, by boat, by bus or by balloon (there are those Bs again!), we know you will fall in love with this wonderful city.
Local buses run frequently around the city and to places like Park Street, Clifton, Stokes Croft and Gloucester Road and the TravelWest website has all the latest information. The Bristol Insight Bus tour is a hop-on-hop-off bus service with a tour guide as you go around Bristol. If you're not here for long then this is a great way to see as much of the city as possible.
See the city from a completely different perspective on board one of the local ferry boat services: Bristol Ferry Boats runs a water taxi service and is a fun way to get from place to place; Avon River Cruises, Bristol Packet Boats and Number Seven boats will give you a boat tour of Bristol harbour and even further afield where you can sail underneath the Clifton Suspension Bridge and through the Avon Gorge.
If would rather view the city at a leisurely pace, then don your walking boots for a selection of top-class walking tours, including the Ultimate Bristol Walking Tour, Bristol Pirate Walks and Bristol street art walking tours. For a full list click here.
If you bring your own bike then there are plenty of cycle stands to lock it up safe and securely while you go off exploring but there are also places to hire bikes and if you head out into the countryside, check out the Sustrans website for routes and information.
Barely a day goes by when you don't spot a hot air balloon in the sky over Bristol so if you're looking for something that little bit special and memorable then why not book a hot air balloon flight with Bristol Balloons or Bailey Balloons?
