About

Established in 1743, St Nicholas Market is the oldest and best loved market in Bristol, famous for being home to some of the best food in the city.

With over 60 stalls, this market is a must see for any visitor to the city. St Nicholas Market is also home to several outdoor markets which take place in the pedestrian streets which run adjacent to The Exchange Building.

St Nicholas Market has been named as one of the 12 best markets in the UK, and is home to the largest collection of independent retailers in Bristol.

The Glass Arcade

The Glass Arcade is home to several permanent food stalls which showcase delicious delicacies from across the world.

Choose from spicy Szechuan noodles from Chilli Daddy, huge Persian wraps from Matina, comforting pie and mash from Pieminister, zingy tacos from Taco Barrio, beautiful cakes from Ahh Toots, falafel boxes from Eat a Pitta, or grilled Japanese yakitori from Woky Ko. Plus plenty of other cuisines, including Caribbean wraps, Mediterranean salads, freshly-made fruit smoothies and homemade Italian pasta dishes.

In the small side street next to the Glass Arcade you'll also find to Bristol favourite Source Food Hall, and Eatchu - home to the city's best gyoza dumplings!

Street Food

In addition to the permanent businesses at St Nicks, you'll also have the choice of several street food traders every Tuesday and Friday on Corn Street and Wine Street just outside the main market building, so you're never short of choice when it comes to tasty local food!
